Individual Therapy in New York, Connecticut & Florida
Something brought you here. Maybe it's anxiety that won't settle, grief that keeps resurfacing, or a pattern you can't seem to break no matter how hard you try. Maybe you can't quite name it yet — and that's okay too.
Our individual therapy sessions are built around you: your pace, your history, your particular way of moving through the world. We offer online individual therapy to adults in New York, Connecticut, and Florida — using evidence-based approaches that go beyond talking, getting to what's actually underneath. Whatever you're carrying, you don't have to figure it out alone.

EMDR Therapy

Are you carrying around pain from the past that still feels too present? Maybe it shows up in anxiety, nightmares, low self-worth, or emotional shutdowns that don’t seem to make sense. EMDR therapy helps your brain and body finally process what it couldn’t at the time—so you can feel lighter, calmer, and more in control.
EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) is a powerful, somatic therapy approach used to help people heal from trauma, anxiety, phobias, grief, abusive relationships and painful life experiences. It doesn’t require talking in detail about everything that happened. Instead, it works by gently helping your brain "unstick" distressing memories and reprocess them in a way that feels more resolved and less overwhelming.
We understand that trauma changes the way you see yourself and the world — and that starting therapy can feel like one more risk when you've already been through so much. Our EMDR therapists in New York, Connecticut, and Florida offer virtual sessions at your pace, in a space that's grounded, safe, and entirely yours.
Internal Family Systems (IFS) Therapy

Have you ever felt like one part of you wants to move forward… but another part holds you back? Like you're stuck in an internal tug-of-war—between confidence and self-doubt, calm and chaos, healing and hurt? Internal Family Systems (IFS) therapy helps make sense of those inner conflicts by gently getting to know the different “parts” of you—and helping them work together instead of against each other.
IFS is a deeply compassionate, non-judgmental approach to therapy that’s especially helpful for people who’ve experienced trauma, anxiety, perfectionism, or shame. We believe that every part of you—yes, even the ones you wish you could get rid of—has a purpose and a story worth listening to.
Our IFS therapists use this approach to help you reconnect with your true Self — the calm, wise, grounded part of you that's always been there, even when it's been hard to reach. IFS therapy is available virtually to clients in New York, Connecticut, and Florida. You don't need to fight with yourself anymore.
Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT)

Do your emotions sometimes feel like too much—too big, too fast, too hard to control? Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) is a skills-based therapy that helps you manage overwhelming feelings, set healthy boundaries, and respond to stress without spiraling.
DBT is especially helpful if you:
-
Struggle with intense mood swings
-
Have a hard time managing anger or anxiety
-
Tend to “shut down” or avoid when things feel hard
-
Feel stuck in patterns of people-pleasing, self-criticism, or impulsive behaviors
-
Enjoy tangible, practical skills to utilize in your daily life to help manage overwhelming emotions.
Our DBT therapists go beyond worksheets — you'll build real-life tools for emotion regulation, mindfulness, distress tolerance, and communication, while also understanding where your emotional patterns come from and how to shift them with compassion, not shame. DBT therapy is available virtually to clients in New York and Connecticut.
Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT)

Sometimes it feels like your mind just won’t give you a break—like no matter how hard you try, the anxious thoughts, worst-case scenarios, or inner criticism won’t stop looping.
Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) helps you identify those thought patterns, understand where they come from, and learn how to shift them so they no longer run the show.
CBT is a practical, structured approach that focuses on the connection between your thoughts, feelings, and behaviors. It’s especially helpful for managing anxiety, depression, perfectionism, and overwhelm. In therapy, we’ll work together to uncover the automatic thoughts that keep you stuck and teach you simple, effective tools to respond differently.
We offer cognitive behavioral therapy virtually to clients in New York, Florida, and Connecticut.
Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT)

Do you ever find yourself stuck in the same arguments or emotional patterns—whether with a partner, a parent, or even yourself? Maybe one part of you wants closeness, but another shuts down or pushes people away. Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) helps you understand these emotional cycles, so you can feel more secure, connected, and seen in your relationships.
EFT is a gentle, attachment-based therapy that focuses on what’s happening underneath the surface—like the fear of rejection, longing for connection, or past hurt that makes it hard to trust. It’s especially helpful if you:
-
Struggle with vulnerability or emotional expression
-
Feel anxious or avoidant in relationships
-
Have trouble feeling connected in your partnership
-
Keep replaying old wounds in current relationships
Our EFT therapists help you slow down, tune into what's actually happening emotionally, and express your needs in a way that fosters connection rather than distance. Whether you're working individually or with a partner, emotionally focused therapy can change how you relate to others — and yourself. Available virtually in New York and Connecticut.
High Functioning Anxiety Therapy

Are you the one everyone relies on — while your mind never actually stops? Maybe it shows up as racing thoughts at 3 a.m., a body that won't unclench, or a quiet voice that says you could be doing more, no matter how much you already are.
Our high functioning anxiety therapy helps your nervous system stop treating rest like a threat — so you can still achieve, without paying for it with your sleep, your body, and your relationships.
High functioning anxiety is the lived experience of running anxious while looking fine. Left unaddressed, it drives chronic overthinking, perfectionism, overdelivering, insomnia, and the slow creep toward burnout. We use IFS (Internal Family Systems), EMDR, and somatic regulation to address the roots — early patterns where staying ahead meant staying safe — not just the surface symptoms.
We know that for people who have always been "the capable one," asking for help can feel like admitting something is wrong. Our therapists Deanna and Ava in New York, Connecticut, and Florida offer virtual sessions at your pace, in a space that meets the high achiever in you without asking you to stop being one.
Pain Reprocessing Therapy (PRT)

Are you living with chronic pain that doesn't quite match the scans? Maybe you've done the imaging, the PT, the specialists — and still the pain persists. You've wondered if it's "in your head," and been told it isn't, but something still doesn't add up.
Pain Reprocessing Therapy helps your brain unlearn chronic pain that no longer reflects tissue damage — real pain, real relief, both grounded in science.
PRT is an evidence-based approach built on the understanding that the brain can learn to generate pain even without ongoing injury. This is neuroplastic pain — most common in chronic back, neck, and pelvic pain, migraines, fibromyalgia-type presentations, long COVID, and "undiagnosed" chronic pain. The Boulder Back Pain Study (2021) found 66% of patients were pain-free or nearly pain-free one year after PRT. We blend PRT with EMDR and IFS when trauma or adaptive patterns are part of the picture.
We understand that after years of dismissive appointments, trying something new can feel like one more disappointment waiting to happen. Our therapist Madeline offers virtual sessions in New York, Connecticut, and Florida, with a first session focused on screening whether PRT is the right fit for your pain — so you don't invest time in something that isn't.
Perfectionism Therapy

Is there a voice inside your head that turns every accomplishment into "not quite enough"? Maybe you redraft the email six times and still don't send it. Maybe finishing something feels worse than starting — because now it can be judged.
Perfectionism therapy helps you keep your high standards without paying for them in self-criticism, insomnia, and the quiet exhaustion of never feeling done.
Perfectionism isn't caring about quality — it's a rigid internal rulebook where your self-worth depends on meeting impossible standards. It often drives chronic anxiety, procrastination, fear of failure, imposter syndrome, and burnout. We use IFS (Internal Family Systems), EMDR, and somatic regulation to work with your inner critic, not silence it. In IFS language, the perfectionist is a protective part that learned, early on, that being flawless kept you safe.
We understand that if you're reading this, part of you is probably already wondering whether you're "perfectionist enough" to need help. You are. Our therapists Deanna and Ava in New York, Connecticut, and Florida offer virtual sessions where no performance is required. Really.
Therapy for Chronic Illness

Are you living with a condition that doesn't fully show on the outside — and tired of being told to "just manage your stress"? Maybe your life has narrowed. Maybe your grief is real. Maybe you want a therapist who actually understands the mind-body connection, without being dismissive about it.
Our therapy for chronic illness supports the whole person — the grief, the identity shift, the medical trauma, and the nervous system that's been on high alert for years.
Living with chronic illness is grief, identity, and body-betrayal at once. We work with adults navigating autoimmune disease, endometriosis, PCOS, long COVID, IBS, chronic fatigue, fibromyalgia, and chronic pain. Research on ACEs (adverse childhood experiences) shows a clear relationship between early stress and adult-onset chronic illness — not as direct cause-and-effect, but as shared nervous system terrain. We use somatic therapy (polyvagal-informed), EMDR for medical trauma, IFS for the parts managing the illness, and PRT-adjacent tools where relevant.
We believe you. Full stop. Our therapist Madeline offers virtual sessions in New York, Connecticut, and Florida, with flexible rescheduling built in for flare days — in a space where your body is the starting point, not something we'll try to reframe away.
Infertility Counseling

Has your cycle become a calendar of hope and grief? You've learned a new vocabulary — IVF, IUI, retrieval, transfer — and none of it quite covers what this actually feels like. Your friends don't know what to say; your partner is grieving differently; the wait is its own kind of endurance.
Infertility counseling gives you a space for the emotional part of this — with someone who speaks the language and can sit with all of it, not just the "stay positive" part.
This is specialized therapy for the emotional, relational, and identity impact of infertility, IVF, IUI, pregnancy loss, recurrent miscarriage, and third-party reproduction (donor, surrogate, adoption). We support individuals, couples, LGBTQ+ family-building, and single parents by choice — before, during, and after treatment. We use trauma-informed psychotherapy, EMDR for medical trauma and acute losses, somatic work, and couples sessions when you want to grieve together instead of apart.
We know infertility asks you to perform "fine" while your world narrows. Our therapist Madeline offers virtual sessions in New York, Connecticut, and Florida, with evening availability and optional coordination with your fertility clinic — in a space where you don't have to hold any of this alone.
